Can I sign up for more than one account?

No. Publishers are not permitted to maintain multiple AdSense accounts under the same payee name.

However, we've provided some guidance below that may help you if you're trying to submit multiple applications. Please identify which common reason best describes your situation, then follow the instructions below.

1) I need to change the login of my existing account

If you have access to your existing AdSense account, please log in and select the My Account tab. Under the Login Information section, please check to see whether the phrase "edit in Google Accounts" appears to the right:

If the phrase appears, please click the link and update your login in Google Accounts. *Note: Gmail addresses cannot be changed.
If the phrase does not appear, simply follow these instructions and we'll be happy to update your login for you. *Note: we cannot change logins to Gmail addresses.
2) I can't access my existing account

If you've forgotten your login:
First, search all of your email inboxes to find the original approval mail we sent you and determine your AdSense login
If you still can't find the approval email, please contact our support team and ask to have your approval mail re-sent to your original email address.
If you've forgotten your password:
Visit Google Accounts to have your password re-sent to you.
On the page above, if you receive the error message "There are no accounts in our system with the E-mail address ..." then please use this form to reset your password instead.
If you've forgotten both the login and password for your existing account:
Please submit a new application. After we disapprove your new application, we'll work with you by email to help you close the original account and activate the new one. If you choose to follow this path, please be aware that you'll have to replace the ad code on your sites with your new ad code, and that any unpaid earnings of less than $10 will not be issued. Please understand that we take these precautions to protect publisher account security.
If none of the above login access issues applies to you, then:
Make sure you are using both the correct login and the correct password for your AdSense account, rather than your Google account. Otherwise, you might see an error message reading "Username and password do not match."
If all else fails, contact our support team.
3) I need to add more sites to my existing account

You can use your existing account to do so. Please see our entry on How do I add more sites to my account? .
4) I need a separate account for my business

In this case, you may submit a new application. Please make sure that the account type (individual or business) and payee name are different from your original application, and ensure that you can accept payments to that payee.
5) I need more reporting channels

The maximum number of channels we currently offer is 200. Unfortunately, we can't accommodate requests for more channels at this time, though we do hope to increase the number of available channels in the future.

Google AdSense offers channels to help you answer the following important questions:

How can I use this knowledge to help me to earn even more?
Many AdSense publishers have dramatically improved their results by making simple changes. It's common for publishers to report significant increases in revenue from changing factors like ad formats, color palettes, and placeme nt - increases you can track with channels.
Channels offer a deeper level of analysis than that provided by overall revenue reports. They allow you to break down reporting to monitor the performance of sites, sections of sites, or even individual ad units. Any time a channel is created, AdSense will record impressions, CTR, CPM, and earnings statistics for that specific page or ad unit.
This provides you with a precise method of evaluating which sites and which locations will enable you to realize your maximum earning potential.
AdSense offers two kinds of channels: URL Channels, for domain, sub-domain, and page-specific reports, and Custom Channels, for more granular reports specific to an ad unit or ad placement.

URL channels are used track ad performance across an entire domain, across a subdomain, within directories and for individual pages. They can help you answer questions like:
Which of my domains is generating the most revenue?
On what sections of my site are ads performing best? Articles? Forums? Blog?
Creating URL ChannelsURL Channels are easy to create and implement through your AdSense account. To find out how, let's take a look at an example.
Scenario: Sally owns a site about dogs -- www.ExampleDogSite.com -- and wants to know if her AdSense ads are performing better on article pages or in forum sections.
She would do this in 2 easy steps:
The first step is to log in and click on the AdSense Setup tab. A row of links will appear beneath the tabs - click the Channels link.
Next, make sure you are on the subtab for the right product -- AdSense for content or AdSense for search -- and that you're creating a URL channel rather than a custom channel. Click the Add new URL channel link, then create a new channel for each directory by entering their addresses (omitting the 'www') into the resulting box.
In this case we'll create two channels: One for ExampleDogSite.com/articles to track the combined ad performance across all of Sally's articles, and another for ExampleDogSite.com/forum to monitor for all of Sally's forum sections.

Once created, URL channels begin collecting statistics instantly. For channels to be most useful, it's important to be able to generate an effective channel report. To learn how, see below.

Custom channels can be used to help you track which ad colors, formats, and placements are most effective on your site, or to provide answers to questions like:

To get the most out of custom channels, it's best to track every ad unit. This way you'll have a core set of reports that you can use to aggregate data from all of your ad units, or to combine in different variations to gain deeper insight into your site's AdSense performance and to answer the kinds of questions listed at the top of this section.
Creating Custom Channels
Understanding how you can use custom channels to answer the questions above will be essential in optimizing your AdSense ad unit performance. Let's take a closer look in the following example.
Scenario: John owns a site about cars. His homepage currently has three ad units and one link unit, and John wants to find out which of the units is performing most effectively. To do so, he'll create a separate custom channel for each of the four units to monitor their performance.
Creating and implementing custom channels requires a more involved process than that for URL channels. No worries - we'll show you how to create custom channels in 4 easy steps:
Start off by logging in to your account and clicking the AdSense Setup tab, followed by the Channels link. For this scenario, we'll be looking at AdSense for content custom channels, so make sure you're on the right product and channel subtab. Then click the Add new custom channel
The next step is naming your channels.It's important to be precise and consistent when naming custom channels. The more information you provide in the name about where and how the ad unit is being used, the easier it will be to identify later, when you're generating your channels reports. For the example used here, we suggest names like:
*HomeTopLeaderMotherEarth
*HomeMidRectMotherEarth
*HomeRightSkyscpMotherEarth
*HomeLeftNavLinksMotherEarth

You'll notice that all of these names follow the pattern Page+Location+Ad Format+Color Palette. This is a pattern we've found useful, but feel free to use whichever method works best for you.
Enter the channel names into the new channel box and click Add channels.

Now you can create your channel-specific ad code. Once your names are in place, click the AdSense Setup tab, then choose AdSense for content as the product.Continue to choose the ad type, ad format, and color palette as you would normally, then in the Channels section,

select the name of the channel(s) you'd like to add by clicking the Add>> link (you can add up to 5),
and click Continue to see your choices reflected in the ad layout code.

Finally, you'll copy-and-paste the code into your webpages. The channel identifier within your code will immediately begin tracking performance. If you already have ad code on these pages, you should replace it with the new channel-specific code.Repeat the process for each of the ad units you'd like to track.

Generating Channel Reports

Active channels gather data that's accessible to you at all times. The data is organized for you in report form and can be retrieved by taking the following steps:
1.After logging in, click on the link to 'Advanced Reports'

2.Select the product you're tracking: AdSense for content or AdSense for search.

3.Then click the radio button labeled Channel data.

4.Next choose the date range in which you're interested.

5.Now choose the channels for which you'd like to assemble a report by using the check boxes.

Note: To easily find a particular group of channels, use the search function. According to the
naming convention described in the custom channels section, if you wanted to find all of the
channels associated with your home page, you'd type 'Home' in the 'Find Channels' box.
Similarly, if you wanted to find all of the channels associated with rectangular ad boxes, you'd
search for 'Rect'. Once you've completed the search, you can simply select all of the results or
choose them individually.

6.Once you've selected the desired channels, decide how you'd like to group the data.
-For a day-by-day report of the data from the selected channels choose the Date radio
button.
-For an aggregate report of channel statistics over a selected date range, choose the
Channels radio button.
Tip: useful for simple comparisons between two or more channels
-For a comprehensive evaluation of one or more channels' performance displayed by date,
choose the Both radio button.
7.Finally, click the Display Report button.

When do I get paid?

We'll send your check or EFT payment within approximately 30 days of the end of the month in which your account balance reaches US$100, unless a payment hold exists or unless otherwise agreed to in writing (including electronic mail).
For example, if you earn $40 in January and $70 in February, we'll send payment to you by the end of March.
If your account balance is less than US$100 at the end of the month, we'll roll your earnings over to the following month, until the payment threshold is reached. Balances include the combined earnings of AdSense for content, AdSense for search and referrals. You can review the Life of a Payment diagram below for a more complete picture of the payment cycle.

Please note that if a publisher's account is found to be in violation of our Terms and Conditions or policies, we may at any time withhold payment (beginning from when Google initiates its investigation of potential violations), charge back the publisher's account, and/or refund advertisers for clicks received on the publisher's site or AdSense for search results page. In addition, if a publisher is past due on any payment to Google in connection with the Google AdWords program, we reserve the right to withhold payment until all outstanding payments have been made.

How much will I earn through this program?

The Google ads you are able to display on your content pages can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-1000-impressions (CPM) ads, while AdSense for search results pages show exclusively CPC ads. This means that advertisers pay either when users click on ads, or when the advertiser's ad is shown on your site. You'll receive a portion of the amount paid for either activity on your website. The articles you‘ll want to have on your site should be short enough so that someone can read them in about 5 minutes. Have you ever built an Adsense website based on some list of supposedly High Paying Keywords only to be disappointed by dismal earnings? There are two reasons that can happen. One is that the alluring high Cost Per Click (CPC) number you see is a mirage. An advertiser may have bid that high in the Google system but never pays it because an advertiser only has to pay a tiny amount more than the next bidder to guarantee itself the top position - and that amount is almost always significantly lower than that stratospheric CPC you based your website on.

Number of Advertisers

Another reason for your dismal Adsense earnings, even when the keyword has a legitimately high CPC, is that there are very few advertisers in the Google system paying for that keyword phrase, maybe as low as 5 or 10. Google will fill all 4 or 5 slots in your page's Adsense ad, but chances are that only a few of the very highest traffic sties with proven above-normal Click Through Rates (CTR) will get served those premiere advertisers. Your site is getting the tail end of the advertisers paying much less for more-or-less related keyword phrases that you probably never considered when planning your website.
